#6 They Outta Have A Law

People in America should be outlawed when they use their cell phones in line at stores while talking. I use to work at a place where I would work a register and would get the rude people who ignore and then order. Not cool. I think that in order to have proper educate, no cell phones in stores. Unless in case it is an emergency. Further more, the people committing these wrongful acts should be punished with a sentence of three days in jail and some community service. That would put them in perspective of whats right and the law. Also i think that people can speak when ever they want outside of these settings. Plus the use of cell phones gives you cancer, so why use them entirely? As a form of communication. Even texting is remotely bad and should result in two days of jail. This is America, freedom of speech, yes but in reality not to a point of rudeness come on.Nothing bothers a person more to be waiting in line with man y others and to be stalled because a person cant function properly or multitask with their phone. And people in the older generations aren't caught up with phones enough to have a better understanding of this knowledge. In conclusion, i think that the use of cell phones should not only be banned in a car but in any store.

If this law was going to be put into action, I would pass it. I agree that people are rude when they are checking out a store. I think that saying no communication in the line is a little excessive however. I would change this law by saying once you are in the line for check out, no matter how long, you are not allowed on your cell phone. I also would say you can talk or text while shopping. I think that the fine should just be a fine, not days in jail. If this law was in action, I wouldn't rebel aganist because nothing could be important enough to pay a fine to talk on the phone.

Aren't you all paying fines to talk on your cell phones already? Those bills are ludicrous. And don't give me that "unlimited" garbage--there's a hefty monthly fee there already. Also, I pose this to all of you: Why need cell phones at all? Sure, something in the car or away from civilization for emergencies is great, but what's the purpose for all of this? Your generation talks a lot about "being green," yet instead of shared public phones for said emergencies, everyone must carry around their own piece of metal, plastic, and toxic substances. In half a year, it's obsolete and you demand another one, and then you waste and awful lot of energy texting and talking constantly, polluting not only our landfills but our airwaves. Just saying...

That should be "an," not "and" before the word "awful." No E.C. for this one, folks, I caught myself.

You all are freaking crazy! If they can ban cell phone use in public places then they can do anything. Ha, wow, I thought this was a joke at first! But wow. You all are serious! If they restrict our basic human rights, they take our beloved and cherished freedom. It seems a lot of us have forgotten what those all-too-important freedoms are.
